About the Event
In January 2020, my son Sonny was born. At just 2 days old, Sonny suddenly went blue and unresponsive at home. Thankfully, a midwife happened to be present and immediately began CPR in our living room. He was rushed to Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children, where he spent 7 days in intensive care.
In January 2020, my son Sonny was born. At just 2 days old, Sonny suddenly went blue and unresponsive at home. Thankfully, a midwife happened to be present and immediately began CPR in our living room. He was rushed to Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children, where he spent 7 days in intensive care.
Sonny had suffered from a combination of severe jaundice, hypoglycemia, and hypothermia — a terrifying combination that could have taken him from us. But thanks to the incredible care from the hospital team and the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Sonny pulled through.
That experience stayed with me. In 2025, I decided it was time to give back — not just financially, but through something that could bring people together.
That’s why I’m inviting you to the SMART Children's Charity Night — an evening to raise money, have fun, and support families like ours who need help when they’re at their most vulnerable.
